We dive into episode 64 making a deep house track in logic pro x from scratch. We will use only internal instruments and plugins to do so. The BPM is set to 122BPM, the perfect BPM to make some smooth Deep House.

We begin as you expect by making a fresh bassline using the Alchemy plugin. We the edit the MIDI to finalize the idea then move on to a bit of sound design so we make that bass out own! The result is a rich thumpy bass loaded with good vibes.

We then take the keys from the bass and use them to create a haunting piano riff that sits in the back of the mix. Moving on we add more dimension to the track with an ambient pad.

We then add an organic organ sound to add to the sequence and create movement, at this point the percussions are still minimal but include a few toms and other elements that are greatly enhancing the groove.

We then go head first into sound design using Logic own Retro Synth, starting with the default preset we create a patch we will use to create the main element of the song, at this point the song is more deep space then deep house! Having an idea does not always yield the expected results. In this case Making music and having a direction still yield great results.
